Well, here we are then. It's been described as 'condo hell', but it will do nicely for now. We're part of a 'community' which includes its own swimming pools, and traffic wardens. It feels quite a bit like a resort somewhere and is somewhat more than we expected. Its just down the road from the UCSD campus, and a few minutes from the beach and a shopping centre.. Southern California on a stick.

on the garages, and no parking outside means you never have to confront your possibly crazy neighbours...!!! They 'keep themselves to themselves' as people like to say in interviews with the Police.
Three-bedroom townhouse with 2.5 bathrooms, ...etc.
Kitchen is a delight - includes piano for dinner entertainment.
Our bedroom ... approx twice the size of Richmond Ave.
It is to say the least, a benign environment. Temp is approx 26c during the days at present, drops to about 18c at night. No complaints...
There are pools of various sizes scattered around ..we seem to head to this one mostly. The lack of swimmers is remarkable ...maybe they prefer the beach...
Today was US Labour Day ..we headed north to Carlsbad for shopping and swimming. Just up the line from where Andrew and Brandy were married near Cardiff-By-The-Sea.
Great beach but I think they might all be pretty good...
Labour Day is the last day of the holidays for the US schoolkids ...and its the same for Bridget and Hugh - they will be up bright and early tomorrow to begin their brief encounter with the US education system.

Scratching at the coal face this morning, probably a walk to Coll Edn and some lunchtime music playing with Vicki, to supermarket and library and back to more coal face picking this afternoon. xx N.
Hi guys, its been great to get your emails Kate and to talk with you Grae the other night. Nicole will be pleased that there is now more on the blog. the house looks great and you should be very comfortable. Hope that things are well with you all and that school wasn't too weird for the kids.
