The Box

The cardboard box: it is to fill up with books that we buy with a book allowance provided by the State Department. They will then ship it home for us. And, it is one of two. It's almost like they figured out the way to an academic's heart.

Some people have already spent their entire book allowance and filled more than two boxes before we even get to the bookstores at Harvard.

One of you will be very happy with my most recent purchase, bought tonight in a bookshop in Amherst.

I cycled in after dinner. Biking in the warm evening, on the flat, under the trees, so nice. Why can't Wellington be flat and warm, at least sometimes?

Hope you are not all suffering too much in the cold! xx
