And, back on the West Coast...

While you East Coast, elitist, gotcha media types were wandering around NY, us folks went to the zoo. As you can hear, it was terrifying.

It was also very, very cool - seeing hippos and polar bears underwater (not the same water), and flamingos, gorillas, pythons, rattlers, cobras, lots of monkeys, lizards, a big tiger, warthogs, zebras, above water, made these two little boys very happy. That is Daniel, Hugh's buddy from school. The pose was their idea.

Then yesterday, after Bridget had completed her homework (a brief dissertation on Mary Wollstonecraft, and a few more books of the Odyssey), we went to the beach to eat Wholefoods takeaways at sunset...
