This Just In

In one of his worst days on the campaign trial, candidate John McCain has today had to hose down his own supporters who have been listening carefully over the past ten days and are now sure Barack Obama is a terrorist...or close to one. The attacks have been outrageous and have been supported by some truly scary comments from the crowds who go to see McCain and Palin speaking..

But this evening McCain got a hostile reception from his own people when he was forced to step in and defend Obama ...this couldn't get much worse.

So what now for McCain ? He can't campaign on the economy and he knows that things are right out of hand now with the vilification of Obama ..he faces the prospect of having to go left , and alienate what remains of his right wing base.

And if he's now lost the pitchfork-wavers then he's really in a tight spot.

Meanwhile ... the "Troopergate" report is out in Alaska, showing Sarah Palin did pretty much all she was accused of with regard to the firing of the state trooper who was her sister's ex-husband...broke Alaskan law and lied to the voters. She is now an official liability..(they may have to kill her off.)

The McCain campaign may now truly be off the rails, and with Obama leading in the national polls by eleven points the Republicans may have run out of time to catch up.
